Samandhi, when referring to a meditative state, is also known as Samadhi. In Indian religions and philosophies, Samadhi is a state of profound meditative consciousness, often considered the highest level of mental concentration attainable through meditation, where the mind, body, and object of meditation merge into one. It is also described as a state of oneness with the divine or ultimate reality. Additionally, Samadhi is the eighth and final limb of Patanjali’s Ashtanga Yoga.
